Michelangelo released – duet with Ralf from Mustasch

Thursday the 10th of March, the new single and video drops for Michelangelo – a duet between the band’s frontman Pontus Snibb och famous Swedish singer Ralf Gyllenhammar of the band Mustasch, one of Sweden’s biggest hard rock acts.

The song is a cover of a track by legendary Swedish singer Björn Skifs (who topped the US charts with Hooked on a Feeling in 1974), and the song was originally sung in Swedish for the 1975 Swedish Eurovision contest, where it however only placed 5th.

”Both me and Ralf love Björn Skifs and wanted to do one of his songs together. We chose the rare English version of Michelangelo, that wasn’t really released by Björn himself at the time back in 1975” says Pontus Snibb.

”What a tremendous version! Cleverly updated and what a powerful voice. That was really nice to hear!” says Björn Skifs about Bonafide’s take on his song.

At this summer’s Sweden Rock Festival on the 8th-11th of June, Bonafide will perform Michelangelo together with Ralf Gyllenhammar on stage for the first time.

One Kiss video premiere with Classic Rock Magazine

Quoted from Classic Rock Magazine:

“In a world where rock bands often the neglect the art of songwriting, instead losing themselves to slavish riff devotion, Swedish rockers Bonafide have released a single that’s as tuneful as a forest full of nightingales, with a gigantic singalong chorus.

Why can’t more bands do this? And what is it they out in the water over in Sweden?

We demand to be told. Demand!”

The Mess video from Hard Rock Hell

The Mess is single no 3 to be lifted from Swedish rockers Bonafide’s third highly successful album release Ultimate Rebel (Off Yer Rocka Recordings 2012).

Ultimate Rebel went on top of the Swedish rock charts within a week of its release, and has been hailed as one of the top releases of 2012 by rock media all over the world.

The Mess is a dark, mesmerizing rocker with a catchy lead riff, coupled with great guitar work, and an infectious chorus to die for. The Mess is released on the 14th of March 2013 and will be backed up with a live cut from the forthcoming Live DVD release, which will be out shortly. It was recorded at last year’s Hard Rock Hell Festival in Wales, where Bonafide were accompanied on stage by some very raunchy dancers in front of a packed audience, adding some sexual solidarity to the riffage.

Since their last release, Bonafide has continued to play shows all over continental Europe and the UK, and will continue touring the European club and festival circuit throughout 2013.

Expect the unexpected from these rock’n’roll rebels!
